Feelings The Real Flower Shop is based at 4 Ganesh Bhawan in the I N A area. It’s a busy spot because of the market nearby. There is always something happening outside, with vendors shouting and cars trying to park. Inside the shop, it’s a bit more focused. We spend our mornings unpacking crates and trying to find space for everything. It’s not a very polished place. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint and the counter is a bit scratched up from years of use. We don’t mind though. We’re more concerned with the quality of the marigolds or the carnations we have that day. Sometimes a customer wants something we don't have, and we just tell them straight. We don't try to pull any fast ones. Most of our work is just cutting, tying, and watering. It’s a very physical job and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. We’ve stayed at this address because it’s a good community. People know they can just drop in and get something simple. We don't do any of that fancy promotional stuff. We just focus on keeping the flowers alive in the Delhi heat and making sure we have enough change in the drawer for the customers. It’s just how we run things here at Ganesh Bhawan. We usually close up once the sun goes down and the market slows.
