Being in the New Cloth Market in Ahmedabad means it’s always loud and crowded. Our place is at number 236. If you’ve ever walked through this market, you know it’s a maze of fabric and people moving carts around. We’ve been part of this for a long time. Our work is mostly about processing the textiles that come through here. It’s dusty and there’s always a lot of movement. The office isn't much to look at, just a place to keep the paperwork straight while the real work happens with the fabric. We see a lot of different people every day, traders and workers mostly. Ahmedabad has always been a hub for this kind of stuff, so we just fit into the local scene. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. We just deal with the cloth. Sometimes the heat in the market is tough, but we have some fans going and we keep at it. The days are long, especially when a big shipment comes in and everything needs to be sorted out. We don't really have a "philosophy" or anything like that. We just make sure the processing is done right so the next person in the chain can do their job. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. Most of us have been in the textile trade since we were young. We don't know much else, to be honest. It’s what we do.
