Royal Sand Stone

Out here in Village Dhamalpar, we’ve got our sandstone yard at Ward No 942. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, near the Sardharka post office. Sandstone is what we know best. We spend our mornings moving the blocks around to make space for new arrivals. The stone has a specific feel to it, and you get used to the smell of the earth and the grit under your fingernails. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Usually, a contractor will show up and ask what we have, or a neighbor will come by because they need stones for a wall. The yard is open to the elements, so we work according to the weather. If it rains too hard, we take a break under the tin roof. We’ve been in Dhamalpar for a while now, and most people around here know where to find us. It’s hard work on the back, but it’s honest. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just sell stone. Sometimes the pieces have cracks or the colors aren't exactly what someone wanted, so we have to sort through the piles again. It’s just us and the stone, day in and day out, making sure things are moving along in our corner of the village. It isn't much, but it's what we do for a living every day.
