We are located out on Matel Road, right near the Amardham Temple. It’s a quiet area compared to the main city, but there’s always a lot of dust because of all the trucks moving tiles around. Our facility at Survey No. 197 is pretty large, mostly taken up by heavy boxes of vitrified tiles stacked high in the back. We spend a lot of time in the warehouse, checking batches and making sure nothing is cracked or broken. It’s physically demanding work, moving those boxes around all day. The temple nearby is a nice landmark, and sometimes you can hear the bells if the wind is blowing the right way. We don’t have a polished office; it’s mostly just a place where we sit to handle the logistics of shipping and receiving. The floors are always covered in a thin layer of dust from the road and the warehouse, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the two or three of us managing the inventory and talking to drivers. During the monsoon, the road gets a bit muddy, making it a bit tricky for the heavy loaders. We don’t do much in the way of advertising because the people who need tiles usually find their way to us through the local trade networks. It’s a basic operation focused on getting the product out to the dealers. Nothing is very flashy here, just rows and rows of tiles and the constant sound of forklifts moving items.
