Sri Kommuru Appadu Dora Junior College

Sri Kommuru Appadu Dora Junior College sits right along the NH-5 Road in Bhogapuram. We’re really close to the ZPH School, so there are always a lot of students in this area. Being near the highway means it’s never really quiet; you can always hear the trucks and buses going past. Our students are a bit older since it’s a junior college, so things are a little different than a primary school. They’re mostly worried about their exams and what they’re going to do after they finish here in Vizianagaram. The building is a practical one, built to handle the coastal weather we get in this part of Andhra Pradesh. The classrooms are filled with desks and large boards, and it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Most of the staff have been working here for years and they know how to handle the busy schedule. We have a lot of students who commute from nearby villages, so the timing of the buses is always a big topic of conversation. The gate is usually crowded in the morning with bikes and students walking in from the main road. We don’t have fancy lounges or anything like that. It’s just a place to study and get through the day. Everyone here in the 535216 area knows us as that college by the highway. It’s a busy, functional place where the work gets done and students prepare for their future.
