Rangumudri Junior College

Down in Vaninagar, Balijipeta, you will find our junior college. It is a part of the Vizianagaram district where life moves a bit slower than the big cities. We focus on the two years of junior college studies which are always a bit stressful for the students because of the big exams. The building is situated in a way that we get a bit of a breeze on the hotter days. We have classrooms that are mostly filled with students from the surrounding villages. They come here by bus or bicycle every morning. It’s a simple setup with blackboards and wooden benches. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to make us look more important than we are. We are just a group of teachers and office staff trying to help these young adults get through their intermediate years. You can usually find us in the staff room drinking tea and talking about the day's lessons. The hallways get loud during the lunch break when everyone is eating and talking at once. We know the local shops around Balijipeta and where to get the best snacks nearby. Our address is easy to find once you get into the Vaninagar area. We’ve been part of this community for a while and we see familiar faces every time a new batch of students starts. It’s just how things are here, doing the work day after day and seeing the kids grow up.
