Marys College Of Education is tucked away on Rajam Road in Chipurupalli. If you are coming from Vizianagaram, it’s a bit of a drive, but most people around here know the way. We focus on training teachers, so the atmosphere is usually a bit more serious than a regular school. The building is a simple two-story setup with a lot of open windows to catch the breeze. We have a small library that is always full of people hunched over textbooks and lesson plans. Teaching isn't an easy job, and we spend a lot of time in the classrooms talking about how to manage a room full of kids. The furniture is practical and bit worn down from years of students sitting through lectures. We have a patch of green out front that we try to keep watered, though the sun usually wins that battle in the summer. Our staff are mostly retired teachers or people who have spent their lives in schools, so they give a lot of practical advice that isn't found in books. It is a quiet existence out here on the road to Rajam. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy logo; we just have a gate, some classrooms, and a lot of people trying to get their degrees so they can go out and find work in the local schools. It’s a plain and simple place.
