Our place is over at 1/132 South Street in the Devarkulam area. We are located near the Reserveline in Sivakasi. Most people in this part of Virudhunagar know the neighborhood because there is always so much going on. Sivakasi Venmuzhil Collective Farming Farmer Producer Company Limited is a very long name to say, so we usually just shorten it when we are talking among ourselves at the desks. The office is right there on the street and is easy to spot if you are looking for the door number. It is a simple building without anything modern or flashy about the architecture. We have a lot of farmers coming in and out throughout the week to talk about the collective. It gets especially busy during the planting and harvest seasons, as you might expect. The dust from the road comes in if we leave the front door open for too long, but we like having the fresh air. South Street is a busy place with plenty of noise and people moving about at all hours. We have our chairs and a few old wooden desks where we sit to sort out the accounts and the farmer records. It is a practical space for practical work. We do not have fancy rugs or expensive art on the walls, just some calendars and a few posters about farming. Being a producer company means we have to stay organized, even if the office feels a bit cluttered with all the files.
