You can find us at 104(2) on Azhagarsamy Street in Azhagarnaickanpati. It’s over in the Sithayankotai area. We do food processing and handle various agro products. It’s a noisy place sometimes with the machines running, but that means we are getting work done. We started this because there was a lot of produce in the area that needed sorting and packing. The street we are on is usually pretty busy with people and carts moving around. We have a small crew of workers from the neighborhood. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the local crops well. It isn't a fancy setup with lots of technology, just the basics that we need to keep the food moving. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is tidy. The smell of the produce changes with the seasons, which is quite nice for us. Sometimes we run into problems with the electricity going out, which is common here, but we manage somehow. We aren't trying to sell anyone on anything fancy. We just process what the farmers bring us from their fields. It's a steady job and it keeps the community going. If you walk down the street, you can't miss the sound of our gates opening in the morning. We just take it one day at a time here and hope for the best with each harvest that comes in.
