Panchanthanki Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Ayannathampatti. Our address is D.No.1/17A on Agraharam Street. It’s a small place in the Watrap area of Virudhunagar. Being a farmer producer company means we spend a lot of time with the local growers. It’s not a corporate setup at all. Most of the time we’re just sitting on plastic chairs in the office talking about prices and the weather. The rain is always a big topic of conversation here in Tamil Nadu. We try to help each other out because farming is tough work. The office on Agraharam Street is usually filled with the smell of tea and the sound of people chatting. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll just find one of us working on the books or talking on the mobile. It gets busy during harvest time, and then things get a bit chaotic, but we find our way through it. Virudhunagar is a good place to be, even if it’s a bit dry sometimes. We’ve all known each other for a long time. It’s more of a collective effort than anything else. We don’t really do fancy brochures. We just talk to the farmers directly and try to get things sorted for the season. It's a simple life, and the work is hard but it feels right.
