Vithaigal Farmer Producer Companylimited is based right here in Kattalai Village. If you know the Mariamman Koil St area, we are at number 12/127. It's a small place in Tindivanam Tk. We focus on what the farmers in our village need. Most of us grew up around here so we know the land and the struggle of getting a fair price. We are a group of farmers who decided to come together to make things a bit easier for everyone in the collective. It is not always easy coordinating with so many people, but we manage. The office is just a simple room where we meet and discuss the crops and the season. You will usually find someone there during the day, unless we are all out in the fields. We don't use big words or fancy marketing because we are just talking to our neighbors. The village life is slow but the work is hard. We handle the seeds and the selling side of things mostly. People stop by to chat about the rain or the price of supplies. Being at Kattalai Village keeps us close to the actual work. Vithaigal Farmer Producer Companylimited isn't some big city firm. We just want to see our local farms doing okay. It’s a group effort and we all pitch in where we can. We stay busy with the paperwork and the accounts, but the focus is always on the village.
