You can find us on Thiroupathi Amman Koil Street in Mel Sevoor. Being out here in Gingee, we are surrounded by a lot of land and other farmers. Our farm keeps us busy year-round. There isn't really a slow season when you are working with the soil. We grow different things depending on what the weather is doing. Sometimes the rain helps us out, and other times it's a struggle. We’ve been at 81a for quite some time now. Most of the people working here live nearby in the village. It's a community effort, really. We don't use any fancy machinery that we can't fix ourselves. It’s a lot of manual labor, digging and planting. We aren't a big company with a marketing department. We are just a group of people who know how to work the land. We talk a lot about the soil quality and the pests we have to deal with. Every season brings a new set of problems to solve. It’s quiet out here, which we like. The days are long, but there is a satisfaction in seeing things grow from nothing. We just try to keep the farm productive and take care of the land as best as we can. It’s hard work under the sun, but it is what we know how to do. We don't ask for much, just a good harvest and decent weather.
