Melmalayanur Angalamman Collective Farming Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Valathi. Our main spot is right on 60/1F, Chetpet Road. It is a place where a lot of us from the Villupuram area come together to work on our farming. Being a collective means we try to help each other out with the crops and the selling part of it. The road here gets pretty busy with trucks and tractors, especially during the harvest times. We chose this location in Valathi because it’s easy for the farmers from nearby villages to reach us. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty from the road, but that's just part of being in this line of work. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just wanted a name that honored the local traditions, which is why we have Angalamman in there. Most of our days are spent talking about seed prices, water issues, and who needs help with their harvest this week. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of manual labor. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just have a bunch of people who know how to grow things. If you're ever driving down Chetpet Road toward Villupuram-604208, you'll see our sign. It’s a plain building, but it serves us well for what we need to do together as a group. We don't mind the noise from the road too much as long as the work gets finished before dark.
