Murugan Mega Caterers

Murugan Mega Caterers is based out of 1 Town. You can find us at the same place as Mamidi Basker Rao Fire Works. It might seem like an odd mix, but it’s just how we have things set up. We spend most of our time in the kitchen area, getting things ready for whatever event we have lined up. Catering is hard work, with a lot of heavy lifting and long hours on our feet. We aren't a big corporate company. We’re just a group of people who know how to cook for large crowds. We’ve done all sorts of gatherings over the years. The 1 Town area is quite old and the streets are narrow, so getting our vans in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We don't have a fancy office to show off. Most of our business is done over the phone or by people coming directly to the fireworks shop to find us. We use simple ingredients and traditional ways of cooking. It’s a bit messy and loud when we’re in the middle of a big job, but we enjoy the rush. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. People know us, and we know them. We don't make big promises; we just show up with the food and get to work. That’s how we’ve always done it here at our spot in 1 Town. We keep our pots scrubbed and our aprons ready for the next day.
