Grk Food Junction

You can find us at Door No 24-1-130 on Samba Murthy Road. We are in the Durgapuram area of Vijayawada, right near the Alluri Seetaramaraju Vandana Down. The area is usually quite loud with traffic and people going about their business. We started Grk Food Junction because we wanted to have a steady place to work in our own neighborhood. The shop is a simple setup with a few benches and a counter where we take the orders. We don't have an air conditioner so we rely on the ceiling fans which hum all day long. In Vijayawada, the heat is something you just live with. We spend most of our time in the kitchen prepping ingredients or washing up. It is not a glamorous job but it pays the bills. We see a lot of the same people every day, mostly workers from the nearby shops or people living in the surrounding streets. We don't do any big promotions or put up huge banners. The name is just painted on the front. Sometimes we run out of gas or have to wait for the water tanker but we manage to keep things going somehow. It is a very basic operation. We don't have a big story to tell. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get to work. That is the way it is for our small junction.
