Vidyashram- The Southpoint School

If you walk down Lanka Road in Varanasi, you will find Vidyashram- The Southpoint School. We are located at N 1/70 in the Nagwa area. It is a lively part of the city, especially with all the people moving towards Lanka. Our school has been a part of this community for a while. We spend our days making sure the kids are actually reading their books and not just staring out the window. The building itself is pretty straightforward. We have desks, blackboards, and a small area where students hang out during their breaks. It gets loud when the bell rings, but that is expected. We have teachers who have lived in this neighborhood for years. They know the families around here. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes things a bit slow in the morning, but we all manage to get inside on time. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local school providing a place for the children nearby to spend their day. There is always a lot of chalk dust and stacks of notebooks lying around the office. We deal with the usual stuff like broken pencils and lost water bottles. It’s just how it is here. We like the local feel of being right here in Nagwa and being a familiar sight for anyone passing by. It’s a job we take seriously, even if it’s messy and tiring on some days.
