Disha Convent School

Disha Convent School is located at D59/152 A-K-1 in Govind Nagar Shivpurwa, which is near Mahmoorganj in Varanasi. Finding the place can be a bit tricky if you aren't from around here because the lanes in Varanasi are always a bit of a maze. The school is right in the middle of a residential area, so we are surrounded by houses and local shops. Every morning, the sound of the prayer bell echoes through the neighborhood. We have a small courtyard where the kids gather, and it gets quite warm there during the summer. The classrooms are basic, with wooden desks that have names carved into them by students from years ago. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many children running around, there is always some dust or a stray piece of paper on the floor. The staff room is a small space where we keep all the registers and the lunch boxes. It’s a very local atmosphere, and we know most of the parents by their first names. Sometimes the cows from the street wander near the gate, and we have to shoo them away. It’s just how life is in Mahmoorganj. We don’t have a big bus fleet or a huge computer lab, but we have enough space for the kids to learn their lessons. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real place to be every day.
