J D S Convent School is located in the Shahpur area of Ghazipur. We are situated right on the Varanasi Ghazipur Road, which is also known as NH 29. Being right on the highway means it is very easy for parents to spot the school when they are driving by. It is a busy road with a lot of traffic passing through, but once you step inside the school gates, things feel a lot more peaceful. We serve the families living in the Panihari and Varanasi outskirts. It is a school that has been built up slowly over time. We have students coming in from all the nearby villages and the edges of the city. The building is simple and we use the space we have as best as we can for the classrooms. You can hear the truck horns from the highway every now and then, but the kids are used to it and don't mind. We are not a big city school with shiny floors or air conditioning. We are just a local place for local children to get their education. Most of the teachers are from this area too, so they know the families well. We spend our days going through the subjects and making sure the students are keeping up with their work. Life in Shahpur is steady and we have become a familiar part of the landscape. People know us as the school on the way out to Ghazipur.
