St Thomas School

St Thomas School is located right in Gopiganj, Bhadohi. It is a familiar place for most people living in this area. We have a fairly simple setup here. The building isn't anything modern or architectural, but it does what it needs to do for the students. Each morning, the staff arrives and we start setting things up for the day’s lessons. We have a lot of local children coming in from the surrounding neighborhoods. The sounds of the town are always in the background, but once the classes start, things settle down inside. We spend a lot of our time just managing the day-to-day needs of the classrooms and the kids. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to adjust, or the heat gets a bit much in the afternoons. It is just part of life here. We do not have a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just us teachers and the support staff keeping the place going. We talk to parents at the gate and deal with whatever issues pop up during the week. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late afternoon. When the weekend comes, the building gets quiet, and we take that time to catch up on our own lives before the bells start ringing again on Monday. It is a steady routine that we have all grown used to over the years. We just keep moving forward with the work at hand.
