Sneh Cottage Industries

Sneh Cottage Industries is located over in Bank Colony, specifically at D-64/29(L/3) in the Mehmoorganj area of Sigra. It is a bit of a residential feel around here, which makes the work feel more personal. We started this as a small cottage industry, and it has stayed that way for the most part. We don't have a massive factory or a big office building. Instead, we work out of this space in the colony where it is relatively quiet compared to the main roads of Sigra. There are always people coming in and out, mostly locals who work with us or neighbors dropping by for a chat. We focus on small-scale production, so things move at a human pace here. The rooms are filled with the materials we use, and there is usually a bit of thread or fabric on the floor. We don't worry too much about having a perfect office setup. The main thing is getting the work done and making sure the items are made properly. Sometimes the street gets a bit narrow for the delivery vans, but we manage to get things loaded and unloaded anyway. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know almost everyone on the street. Most of our day is spent handling the practical side of the cottage industry, from checking the supplies to making sure the finished pieces are ready for the market.
