Shreya Vedangi Grih Udyog is based right here in Adharsh Nagar, Manduadih. We are in the Lic Gali, which can be a bit hard to find if you don't know the Varanasi area well. It’s a local business, more like a home-style setup than a big factory. We make different things depending on the season. A lot of it is hand-done work. We have people from the neighborhood who come in to help with the packing and sorting. It gets very busy around the holidays. The house is always full of the smell of whatever we are making that day. Sometimes it's savory, sometimes it's sweet. We don't have a big sign outside, just the usual sounds of work coming from inside. Varanasi is a crowded place and our street is no different. We have to move our supplies carefully through the narrow lanes. It’s a lot of manual effort. We don't use much fancy technology. We prefer doing things the way we've always done them. It works for us. Our customers are mostly local shops and people we’ve known for years. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just focus on the stuff we make in our small kitchen and workspace. It's a decent way to earn a living.
