Royal Rugs

Royal Rugs is located in Quazipur. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 197. It is a quiet spot for the most part, which is good for focusing on the rugs. We have a few looms set up in the main room. It’s a family thing, really. My father started it and I just sort of stayed on because it’s what I know. We don’t use big machines; it’s mostly just hands and some basic tools that have been around for years. The light in the workshop is okay during the day, but we have to use extra lamps when it gets dark early in the winter months. We don't really have a sales team or anyone to answer phones all day. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. We get our wool from the local markets and try to pick the better stuff when it's available. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly the same as the last batch, but that's just part of how it goes with hand-dyed materials. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to keep the doors open and the work coming in steady. There are plenty of other shops in Quazipur, but we’ve got our own way of doing things. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sunday we usually rest and clean up.
