Irfan Oriental Rugs

Irfan Oriental Rugs is based in the small area of Ghosia, right near Aurai. This whole place is known for rug making. We’ve been part of that tradition for a long time now. Our setup is quite simple. We don’t have a big corporate office or a boardroom; it’s mostly just the open space where the rugs are handled and stored. The air usually smells like wool and natural dye. We work with a lot of local folks who have been doing this for generations. It’s a slow process, making these rugs by hand. You can’t really rush it even if you wanted to. Most of our days are spent checking the piles and making sure everything is moving along as it should. The village life here is quiet compared to the big cities. We definitely like it that way. Sometimes the weather affects how the wool dries outside, so we have to plan our days around the rain. We don't have a website with flashy photos or a social media manager. Most people find out about us through word of mouth or old contacts. If you come visit us, you’ll see rugs spread out everywhere on the floor. We’re just regular people trying to keep this old craft going. It’s not always easy, especially when the market changes so much. We stick to what we know. We don't talk much about quality because it's just expected. The rugs eventually find a good home somewhere far away.
