Gyandeep English School

Lallapura is a busy spot in Varanasi and our school is right in the middle of it. The streets around here are narrow and usually filled with people, rickshaws, and the general hum of the city. You find the school building by following the lanes in the 221010 area. It's not a quiet place, but that is just how things are in this part of town. Every morning, the staff arrives and gets the rooms ready before the students start showing up. Some of the kids walk through the small alleys to get here. The school itself is a practical building made of brick and concrete. We have a few floors and the staircases are a bit narrow. There is a lot of history in these streets and you can feel it even inside the school walls. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to deal with it until it comes back on. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches and desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep some registers on the main desk to track who comes in and out. It's a very local operation and most parents in Lallapura know us by name because we’ve been here at this address for a long time. There are no big signs or bright lights, just the school name on the front gate.
