Down in Divya Nagar, Khorabar, you’ll find our school. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, except when school starts or lets out in the afternoon. We have a very basic setup here. A few rows of classrooms, a small office, and a bit of space outside for the kids to stretch their legs. We aren't a big institution with massive gates and security guards everywhere. We are just a local school trying to provide a place for children to study. The teachers here work hard, often staying late to grade papers or plan for the next day. We use regular textbooks and follow the standard syllabus for each grade. There’s no fancy tech in every room, just chalkboards and desks that have seen a lot of use over the seasons. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows for some light and air to keep going. It’s a very grounded way of doing things. We know most of the parents by name because they stop by to check on how their kids are doing or to drop off a lunchbox. It’s important to us that the children show up on time and pay attention to what they're told. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles, just the basics that a school needs. People in Khorabar know where we are. We’ve become a bit of a fixture in this part of Divya Nagar after all these years of teaching.
