Zakaas Vadapav

Zakaas Vadapav is a small shop located at GF-22 in Kabir Plaza, which is right on Makarpura Road in Manjalpur. We mainly do vadapav and a few other snacks. It’s a tiny space, but we make it work. Most people just grab their food and eat it standing outside or take it with them. We don't have a lot of seating. The frying pan is almost always hot from morning until we close at night. We go through a lot of buns every single day. My brother and I run the place mostly by ourselves. It gets hot in there with the stove going, especially in the summer months. We try to keep things moving fast because people are usually in a hurry. You’ll see students from the nearby schools and workers from the shops in Kabir Plaza coming by. We don't spend money on flyers or social media posts. The smell of the garlic chutney usually does the work for us. Sometimes we run out of pav before the day is over, and we just have to close up early. It’s a simple business. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the potatoes are seasoned well and the buns are fresh. If you’re passing through Manjalpur, you’ll find us there. It’s a humble spot but it’s ours. We usually take a break in the afternoon when it's quiet for a little while before the evening rush starts.
