World Youth Heart Federation - India

World Youth Heart Federation - India is based at 30 Grassfield Bungalow. We are situated near Greenwoods on Sardar Patel Marg, just off Gotri Road in the New Alkapuri area. It’s a nice part of the city, quite green and a bit quieter than the main center. We focus on youth health and heart issues, but we do it in a very straightforward way. There isn't a lot of corporate hierarchy here. We just sit around the bungalow and figure out how to reach more young people with our message. Being off Gotri Road is convenient because it's easy for people to find us, but we are tucked away enough that it doesn't feel like a busy office. We often have volunteers coming in and out, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don't use a lot of medical jargon when we talk to people because we want everyone to understand why heart health matters. Sometimes we are busy organizing a small local event, and other days we are just catching up on paperwork or talking on the phone with partners. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight, just trying to do our part from our corner of New Alkapuri. It’s a small team and we all do a bit of everything, from making tea to answering emails. We just want to be a useful resource for the community here in India without making a big fuss about things.
