Shree Kalyanrai Sarvajanik Charitable Trust

Our trust operates out of the Pushthpith Shri Kalyanraiji Mandir in Sheth Lane, over in the Bajvada area. It is a crowded part of town with narrow streets and lots of activity. The mandir has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. We basically handle the daily needs of the temple and the people who visit. There is always something that needs fixing or cleaning. It is not a corporate setup at all. Most of the people helping out are just locals who have been coming here since they were kids. We spend a lot of time organizing the small things that keep a place like this running. Sometimes it gets really hectic during festivals, and we just have to manage with whoever is around to help. We don't have big meetings or formal plans. We just talk about what needs to happen over tea and then we go do it. Bajvada is a busy place, so there is always noise from the street coming into the temple courtyard. We don't mind it much. Shree Kalyanrai Sarvajanik Charitable Trust is just a way for us to keep the traditions going and make sure the place stays open for everyone. It is a bit dusty sometimes and the paperwork stacks up on the old desk, but that’s just how it goes here. We are just regular people trying to look after our local spot and help the folks around us.
