Vip Food Service

We run our food service out of New Cloth Market 104 at Chhaui Octorainaka. This is a very busy part of town and we stay pretty busy ourselves. We provide food mainly for the people who work in the market or for small events that happen nearby. Our kitchen is going almost all day long, especially when lunchtime gets close. We do not have a big fancy menu with names that are hard to pronounce. We just make regular, everyday food that is meant to fill you up so you can get back to work. The pots we use are huge and we go through a lot of vegetables and rice every single morning. It is not a quiet place to work. There is a lot of banging of metal pans and people shouting to get the orders ready on time. We do not spend any money on advertising. People know who we are because we have been here at the market for a long time now. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish before the day is over because it was more popular than we expected. We just do the cooking and the cleaning and then we get ready to do it all again the next day. It is a lot of physical labor standing over the heat, but it is a practical business for this part of the city.
