Sundaram Farsan

You can find Sundaram Farsan over in the Dandia Bazar area on Abdul Rehman Street. We are right on Pratap Road and quite close to the Hero Honda showroom so it is easy to spot us if you are in the neighborhood. The shop is usually very busy and the air always smells like oil and spices. We have been making farsan in this spot for a long time now. The kitchen part takes up most of the room and we have these big metal vats for frying. It gets incredibly hot in there during the afternoon. We do not have much space for customers to stand inside so they usually wait on the pavement. The street is always full of people and bikes zooming past. We use some old scales that have been with us since we opened. They are a bit scratched up but they still work just fine. We do not have a big team of people working here. It is just family members helping out where they can. We do not use any fancy labels or colorful bags. Everything goes into plain plastic or paper. Sometimes we run out of the most popular snacks before the day is even half over. That is just how it goes sometimes and we tell people to come back the next day. It is a lot of work but it is what we know.
