Yamuna Crackers

We are located on Parshuram Nagar Road in the Subhash Nagar area of Vadodara. Our business is a bit different because it gets really busy during the festival seasons. The rest of the year, it is much quieter. We have a lot of storage space for the crackers and we have to be very careful with how everything is kept. Safety is a big deal for us, so we spend a lot of time checking the boxes and making sure the shop is dry. My father started this business, and I have been helping since I was a kid. I remember the smell of the gunpowder and the colorful labels on the boxes. During Diwali, the whole street is crowded and we barely have time to sleep. Everyone wants the biggest rockets or the loudest bombs. We try to help them find what they want based on their budget. Outside of the big holidays, we still do some business for weddings and local celebrations. The shop is not fancy. It is mostly just shelves and sturdy tables. We have a lot of regular customers who come back every year because they know where to find us. It is a traditional kind of work. We do not use any complicated computer systems here. Just a notebook and a pen to keep track of what is in stock. It is how we have always done it here in Vadodara.
