Sterling Foods

Our place, Sterling Foods, is tucked away on Gorwa Chandni Chowk Road Cross 15/A. It’s not the easiest spot to find if you aren't looking for it, but the locals know where we are. We handle a lot of different food items, mostly bulk stuff that comes in big sacks or boxes. The warehouse area in the back is usually piled high with crates. Sometimes it feels like we are constantly moving boxes from one corner to the other just to find what we need. The office is just a small desk in the corner with an old fan that squeaks when it’s on high. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking if a delivery van has left yet. Gorwa Chandni Chowk Road is always busy, especially around the 15/A cross section where we are located. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the side door, so we have to be careful where we stack the flour. It is mostly a family operation, so things are a bit informal around here. We don't have uniforms or big signs. Usually, someone is eating their lunch near the packing table while others are loading a small rickshaw for a local delivery. It is loud, a bit chaotic at times, but we get the orders out eventually. We’ve been at this address for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that.
