Shubham Sweet & Farsan Mart

Our shop is tucked away in the Jogani Industrial Estate on Senapati Bapat Marg 3. Being in an industrial area means things get busy at very specific times. When the shifts change, we get a lot of workers coming in. We keep Shubham Sweet & Farsan Mart open and ready for them. There is always a lot of noise from the street and the nearby units, but we’re used to it by now. We spend most of our time in the back prep area or behind the glass cases. Making sweets takes a lot of patience, and farsan is all about timing. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure things are done. The floors get a bit dusty from the road, so we’re always sweeping. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t really bother with big machines for most of the stuff we do; it’s mostly just hands and some pretty heavy pots. The address is easy to find once you’re in the estate. Some people travel a bit to get here, while others just walk over from their workplace. It’s a steady rhythm. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Vadodara, just a reliable one for the folks around Senapati Bapat Marg. Every day is pretty much the same routine, which suits us just fine. We just make the food and put it out for whoever comes through the door.
