Shri Krishana Grain Shop

You can find Shri Krishana Grain Shop on Pratapnagar Main Road right opposite Shanti Chambers. We specialize mostly in grains and bulk items for the kitchen. There are always big sacks of wheat, rice, and different types of lentils stacked up against the walls. The air inside smells like earth and flour because of all the grain we handle every day. It is a dusty job and our clothes usually end up white by the time we go home. Pratapnagar is a very busy area and the road outside is almost never quiet. We have been here for many years and have seen the area change a lot around us. We don't really do much advertising because people just know we are here. Most of our work involves weighing out kilos of grain and tying up bags for people to carry home. Sometimes the heavy bags are hard to move and we have to be careful with our backs. We use an old weighing scale that has been with us for a long time. The shop doesn't have air conditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer months. We just keep the fan running and keep serving whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple life selling the basics that every household needs to make their meals. We are just a local grain merchant doing our daily work with the tools we have.
