Shri Hari Provision & General Stores

Shri Hari Provision & General Stores is located in the Sai Square Building, right across from Kedar Bhavan. We are on Devanya Matt Road which connects to Anand Mahal Road, so it stays pretty active around here. The shop is basically a collection of tall shelves filled with soaps, grains, and household items. We spend a lot of time rearranging things because we never seem to have enough space for everything that arrives. In the mornings, we are busy taking in the milk packets and bread loaves. The floor is concrete and we sweep it out a few times a day because people bring in dust from the road. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on a low volume just to have some background noise. Most people who live in the Sai Square building just walk down to grab what they forgot for their dinner. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the regular tubes on the ceiling. There is always a stack of empty cardboard boxes near the back door waiting to be picked up. We sit on plastic chairs behind the counter when there aren't any customers. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to say hello or talk about the weather while they pick up their groceries. It is a simple life of managing stock and helping people find their usual brands in the aisles.
