Shreenathji Khaman House

Our place, Shreenathji Khaman House, is tucked away in Akota, specifically at Tatya Gharpure Patu 6/A. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main roads, but people still find their way to us for their morning khaman. We spend most of our time prepping the batter and getting the steamers ready. If the steam isn't just right, the khaman won't be soft, so we have to pay a lot of attention to the kitchen. It is a small space, and it gets very humid when we are in the middle of a big batch. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just some basic counters and stools. Most of our customers are people from the nearby houses who have been coming to us for years. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything like that. We just want to make sure the food is ready on time every morning. Sometimes we run out earlier than expected, which can be frustrating for the latecomers, but we only make so much each day. Being in Akota has been good for us. The neighbors are friendly, and it feels like a real community. It’s just a simple shop run by regular people who know a thing or two about making snacks. We don't have a website or anything, just the shop here at 6/A, and that is how we like it.
