Shree Mahalaxmi Provison Store

We’ve been running Shree Mahalaxmi Provison Store in the Wadi area for quite some time now. The shop is filled with all the usual things people need for their kitchens, like sacks of grain, lentils, and different types of cooking oils. It can get a bit crowded inside when we get a fresh delivery and have to stack the heavy bags in the corners. Every morning starts the same way, unlocking the heavy metal doors and sweeping the front step before the first customers arrive. People from the neighborhood come by for their daily supplies, sometimes just for a small packet of spices or some sugar for their tea. We know most of the faces around here since Wadi is the kind of place where everyone eventually crosses paths. It’s not a modern supermarket with bright lights; it’s just a regular store where things are kept in bins and on wooden shelves that have been here for years. We spend a lot of time weighing out items and bagging them up for people. Sometimes the ledger gets a bit messy during the rush, but we keep track of everything eventually. The afternoons are usually quieter, giving us a chance to rest or reorganize the stock that’s running low on the shelves. It’s a straightforward life, just making sure the containers are full and helping folks find what they need for their dinner. We don’t do anything fancy, just keep the shop open and stay busy.
