Shree Jagdish Chewada Mart

Our shop, Shree Jagdish Chewada Mart, is located at 3 / 137 Jijamata Nagar on Tilak Road in Goregaon West. We mostly focus on different kinds of chewada and dry snacks. It’s the kind of stuff people buy in big bags to take home for their evening tea time. The smell of frying spices and curry leaves usually fills the whole lane when we are cooking. We have huge metal bins of different mixtures, some very spicy and some a bit sweet for the kids. It’s a narrow shop, so you often have to wait your turn on the sidewalk if there are more than three customers inside. We use old-fashioned metal scales to weigh everything out by hand. The paper bags we use sometimes get oil spots, but that's just because the snacks are fresh and haven't been sitting in a factory. We don't use fancy plastic packaging with bright colors and logos. Goregaon West is a crowded place, and Tilak Road is always moving with traffic. We have regulars who have been coming to Jijamata Nagar for our chewada for a long time. They know exactly what they want as soon as they walk in. Sometimes we run out of the special spicy mix by the early afternoon. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you want to buy from us, you just come to the shop. It's a simple business.
