Sbrg Education Foundation

Our space is inside Goverdhan Apartment, right at number 4/1. It’s pretty easy to find once you get near the Utkarsh petrol pump in Karelibaug. Being on the first floor is nice because we don’t have to wait for the lift most of the time. The sounds of the traffic from the main road come in through the windows, but you get used to it after a week. We have set up a few tables for the education foundation work. It’s a small team, usually just us and a couple of volunteers who come by in the afternoons. The walls are painted a plain off-white color and we have stacks of notebooks everywhere. Sometimes the smell of petrol from the station next door drifts in when the wind is just right. We do a lot of our planning here over plastic cups of coffee. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls, just a regular flat where we try to keep things organized. We handle the paperwork, talk to parents, and figure out how to help the local kids with their schooling. It’s a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. Most of the time, the building is quiet and we can just focus on the tasks at hand. It feels good to be working in a place that feels like a real neighborhood.
