Sandeep Sweets & Namkeen

Sandeep Sweets & Namkeen is located in the Makarpura New Furniture Market on Madanpura Road, specifically at G-9. It’s a bit of an interesting spot because we are surrounded by shops selling sofas and dining tables. You can often hear the sound of hammers or saws from the workshops nearby while we are working in the kitchen. We spend our mornings frying and packing things into bags. The smell of oil and spices is always in the air here. Our counter is usually piled high with boxes because we don't have much storage space in the back. The G-9 unit is small, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other. It gets quite hot, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the furniture market. We keep a big fan running, but it mostly just moves the warm air around. Most of our customers are people who work in the furniture shops or folks who have come to buy a new bed and need a snack while they wait for their delivery. We’ve been here for a good few years now. The furniture market has seen shops come and go, but we’ve stayed in the same spot. We don't do anything fancy with the presentation. We just put the namkeen in clear bags and stack them up. It’s an honest living, and we like being part of this little community on Madanpura Road.
