Saibaba Waffers

Saibaba Waffers is located at Asoj 19, within the Amardeep Apartments. We are right across from the Jayratna Building. Our shop is a small, local operation where we mostly sell different kinds of crispy wafers and snacks. When we are frying a fresh batch, the whole hallway of the apartment building smells like potatoes and oil. It is a simple setup with large metal containers filled with chips and savory mixtures. We spend our mornings preparing the snacks and our afternoons bagging them up for customers. The bags are just clear plastic tied with a bit of yellow tape. It is a very manual process and we do everything by hand. The shop has some simple wooden shelves where we display the different varieties. We don't have any fancy marketing or colorful logos. Most of our customers are people who live in the same building or just across the street. They come in for a small packet of wafers to eat with their tea. The floor is made of plain tiles and it can get a little slippery near the back where we do the frying. We keep a large fan running to help with the heat, but it is still quite warm inside. It is a humble business that keeps us busy from day to day. We just focus on making sure the chips are crunchy and that we have enough stock for the evening rush.
