Ras Madhuram Sweet & Farsan

Our shop is found at Channi Naka on LBS Marg, specifically at number 7. We have been in the sweet and farsan business for a good number of years. It’s a simple setup with a few display cases and a large kitchen area out back. Every day we start by preparing the fresh ingredients we got from the market. We make a variety of traditional sweets that people around here seem to enjoy. The farsan is also popular, especially in the late afternoons when people are looking for something salty to eat. The shop can get quite warm because we have the stoves going for most of the day. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and a clock. We prefer to spend our time making sure the food tastes like it should. Many people who are traveling along LBS Marg stop here to pick up some snacks for their journey. We try to keep our prices reasonable so that everyone can afford a little treat now and then. It’s a lot of standing and stirring, but we don't mind the work. We’ve been part of the Channi Naka community for a long time and we hope to stay here for many more years. It's just us doing what we know, day in and day out, to keep the trays full for the customers.
