If you head down Ajwa Road, you’ll find the Sardar Industrial Estate. We are at D/52. It’s a busy little pocket of shops and factories. We’ve been based here for quite some time now. The building is a bit old, and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of equipment and parts for insulation work. We don’t really go for the polished look because this is a place where work actually happens. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but we have a few big fans that keep the air moving. We aren't the type of company that has big boardrooms. Usually, if we need to discuss something, we just stand around one of the workbenches. It feels more natural that way. The guys on the floor know their jobs inside and out. We don’t have to tell them much. Everyone just shows up and does their bit. We get a lot of deliveries coming in and out, so the front area is often blocked by a truck or two. It can be a bit chaotic on Mondays especially. We just take it as it comes. We’re not trying to be the biggest or the flashiest. We just want to make sure the orders are right and the work is solid. It’s a quiet kind of existence on Ajwa Road, but we like the community here. Everyone knows everyone else’s business and we help each other out when someone’s truck breaks down.
