21 A Roof Top Restaurant

You can find us at the top of Offtel Tower on R C Dutt Road in the Alkapuri area of Vadodara. We are right opposite the Circuit House, which is a big landmark around here. Being on the rooftop gives us a good view of the street below, which is always full of cars and people. Alkapuri is one of those neighborhoods that never really seems to sleep. We spend a lot of our time getting the outdoor tables ready and making sure the plants are watered. The weather plays a big part in how our day goes since we are up high. When it’s windy or raining, we have to move things around quickly. The kitchen is busy from the late afternoon onwards. We see a lot of people coming in to get away from the noise of the ground level. The staff here is used to climbing the stairs or taking the lift back and forth all shift. We don’t try to be something we are not. It’s just a place to eat and look out over the city. R C Dutt Road is a main stretch, so it’s easy for people to find us. We focus on the daily chores, like checking the inventory and keeping the deck clean. It’s a simple operation run by people who live and work right here in Vadodara. We hope to keep doing this for many more years as the city grows.
