Poonam Provision Store

Poonam Provision Store is tucked away in Ramdev Nagar, quite close to the Main Bazar in Vadodara. It’s a small place, mainly catering to the families living in the nearby streets. We keep the basic stuff—soap, spices, tea leaves, and snacks. Because we are near the main market, we have to make sure our prices are okay, or people will just go there instead. But many prefer coming to us because it's quieter and they don't have to deal with the huge crowds. The shop is run by me and sometimes my son helps out when he isn't busy. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It’s just a plain storefront with some metal shutters. Inside, the shelves are made of wood and they've seen better days. We don't have a lot of space, so we stack things high up. If you need something from the top, I have to get the stool out. It’s a bit slow sometimes, but we don't like to rush. Vadodara is a nice city and our neighborhood is quite friendly. We know who likes which brand of detergent and who always forgets to bring their own carry bag. We don't do any marketing or post on social media. People just know we are here. It’s a steady life, and we are happy just being the local grocer for the people around Ramdev Nagar. It’s not much, but it’s ours and we like it.
