Patel Store

Our shop is called Patel Store, and you can find us in the Sarabhai Society area on Gotri Road in Vadodara. We are right opposite the Sai Baba Mandir, which is a very well-known landmark around here. Because of the temple, we get a lot of foot traffic, especially on Thursdays when more people come to offer prayers. We sell all sorts of things, from basic groceries to small items you might need for your home. It’s a busy corner of the city. The main road is always full of cars and rickshaws. Inside the store, it’s a bit of a jumble sometimes. We have things stacked wherever they fit. I’ve lived in Vadodara for most of my life, so I’ve seen this area grow and change. When we started, there weren't as many shops around Gotri Road. Now, it’s a major hub. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in town. We just want to make sure the people in Sarabhai Society can get what they need without going too far. I handle most of the ordering myself, trying to guess what people will want next week. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I don’t. We also keep some small things for the temple visitors. It’s a decent living. We start the day with a bit of cleaning and then it's just one customer after another until it's time to pull the shutters down for the night.
