Manishs Emporium

I have been working here at number 29 in Vadodara for quite a long time now. It’s just a small shop where we keep ourselves busy with the daily tasks of running a local business. Most mornings start with unlocking the front gate and sweeping the dust off the step. The traffic on the road starts early, and you can hear the rickshaws passing by all day. We have stacks of items that need sorting and shelves that always seem to need a bit of organizing. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical space where we handle what needs to be done. People from the neighborhood stop in to ask questions or look at what we have in stock. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet just to catch a bit of a breeze. My brother helps me with the heavy lifting when new crates arrive. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that, it's just us here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time yet. Every day feels a bit different depending on who walks through the door. We keep a ledger for the accounts and try to stay on top of the paperwork, which isn't always easy. It’s a simple life at Manishs Emporium. We just focus on getting through the work and making sure we have what people are looking for.
