Mahavir Super Store

Mahavir Super Store is situated on the Haramavu Main Road along Gotri Road. It’s a decent-sized place, though we call it a super store more because of the variety than the actual size. We have aisles that are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful if you’re carrying a big basket. We stock everything from household cleaners to fresh milk that comes in every morning. The delivery trucks usually block the front for a bit around ten o’clock while we unload. It’s a bit of a mess during that hour. We have a couple of staff members who have been with us for years. They know exactly where every single item is kept. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we know our way around. We don't do any big advertising or anything. Most people who shop here live in the houses nearby and just walk over. We have a small fridge for cold drinks that hums quite loudly, but it does its job. Sometimes the billing machine acts up, and we have to do the math by hand, which slows things down. Nobody seems to mind too much though. We just chat while we wait. It’s a friendly enough place. We stay open late because we know people often forget things they need for dinner. That’s just our routine here on Gotri Road. We keep it simple.
