Mahavir Provision & General Store

We are located over on Waghodia Road in the Manjaipur area. Running Mahavir Provision & General Store means dealing with a lot of different things every day. We carry groceries but also general items like light bulbs, buckets, and school notebooks. The shop is quite long, and the shelves go all the way to the back where it gets a little dark. We spend a lot of time dusting the bottles and cans because the road outside is always under construction or has a lot of traffic. It feels like the dust never stops. People from the nearby apartments come in for their daily needs. We have a small counter near the front where we keep the chocolates and small change. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things for the customers. It’s just one of those things you get used to. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is hidden. Waghodia Road is always noisy, so we have to speak up when talking to people. We try to keep the stock full, but sometimes the suppliers are late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a normal life of a shopkeeper. No big plans, just keeping the shelves stocked and the door open for whoever needs a packet of salt or a new broom.
