Laxmi Sweet Farshan Mart

We are over here in Makarpura at the Laxminarayan Chamber. Our shop is at G-18, right on the Novino Tarsali Road. Most of our mornings start very early because making sweets and farshan takes a lot of time and patience. We have the glass counters filled with different things we made that day. It gets pretty loud and crowded when people finish their work and stop by on their way home. We have been at this location for a while now. The fryers in the back stay hot most of the day so we can put out fresh batches as needed. People usually come in when they need something for their afternoon tea or if they have a small gathering at home. We just keep doing the same work every day. Sometimes we actually run out of the popular items by the time evening rolls around. That is just how it goes here. It is not a big fancy place, just a normal shop where we put out the trays and wait for the neighborhood to show up. We see many of the same faces every week. Some people moved away but they still come back to visit us when they are in this part of town. The street outside is usually full of traffic and noise. We are right there in the middle of it all. It involves a lot of manual work, like lifting heavy bags of flour or sugar. We don't change things much around here. If you know the chamber, you’ve seen us.
